The WeDoWind Method

The digital transformation is one of the key drivers for reducing costs and risks of wind energy. A lack of data and knowledge sharing is one of the largest barriers to a successful digital transformation of wind energy. We want to take away the fear associated with data and knowledge sharing – and foster collaborative mindsets in wind energy! This will ultimately help us reach our ambitious net zero goals.

We have developed the WeDoWind Method - a method for solving the most pressing problems collaboratively based on “challenges” and using data provided by the industry, providing both challenge providers and solution developers with added value:

  • Challenge providers receive diverse state-of-the-art solutions to their problems from international teams, increased visibility and contact with the research community.

  • Solution developers get access to relevant problems and data from the industry and get visibility within a vibrant international research and teaching community.

We are currently applying the method to nine separate problems within nine collaboration spaces, which form the rapidly expanding WeDoWind Ecosystem.

Get involved

Want to get your most pressing problems solved by a diverse range of international experts?

We can help get your hardest problems solved by bringing together experts from all over the world to solve “challenges” using data provided by the industry, state-of-the-art science, open-source software and data standards. We do this by:

  1. Designing and creating a space in the WeDoWind Ecosystem.

  2. Identifying, attracting and coordinating participants.

  3. Moderating and documenting webinars.

  4. Curating the digital space.

  5. Disseminating the results.

Want to solve real problems and get access to data?
