Launch webinar - The WeDoWind Data-Driven Turbine Performance Analysis space

Launch announcement

In this webinar we will be officially launching of a new WeDoWind space - The WeDoWind Data-Driven Turbine Performance Analysis space, together with the Texas A&M University.

The WeDoWind Method is method developed by the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences and the Swiss Wind Energy R&D Network in collaboration with Stacker Group for solving the most pressing problems collaboratively based on “challenges” and using data provided by the industry, providing both challenge providers and solution developers with added value:

  • Challenge providers receive diverse state-of-the-art solutions to their problems from international teams, increased visibility and contact with the research community.

  • Solution developers get access to relevant problems and data from the industry and get visibility within a vibrant international research and teaching community.

This new Data-Driven Turbine Performance Analysis space offers a safe discussion forum for the open data science solutions offered in connection with the book “Data Science for Wind Energy” and the author’s research team at Texas A&M University. As well as giving you access to specific “challenges” around the topic of data-drive turbine performance analysis, it provides a central location with access to the relevant code and data, allows you to share code and initiate collaborations with other users of the code and data, keep up-to-date on developments related to the topics in the book and connects you with lecture series on relevant topics. The first challenge is the “Wind Turbine Power Curve Model Challenge“, which aims to compare and benchmark power curve models run on common data sets. The second challenge is the “Wind Turbine Power Enhancements Challenge“, which aims to compare and benchmark power enhancement methods.
