Introducing the best-practice guide “Diversity & Inclusion: focusing on gender and ethnicity in the offshore wind sector"

Sign up for our next webinar!

With the increasing importance of wind as a contributor to the global energy mix, the growing industry underpinning this transition presents an opportunity to address many of the imbalances that incumbent energy companies are struggling to retroactively transform. Whilst there has been a lot of talk in recent years about ethnic and gender diversity, there is an urgency for the sector to move from good intentions to practical applications of best practice. The Equal Group was commissioned by the Offshore Wind Industry Council to create a best practice guide specifically touching on practical interventions that wind companies could take to improve their diversity and inclusion outcomes.

Mac Alonge, CEO of The Equal Group will facilitate a conversation exploring the background and process to create the guide, the key aspects of the best practice guide, as well as highlighting some of the sector's key successes and barriers that organisations typically face in improving their outcomes. This webinar will be an opportunity to explore some of the nuances at play in the wind sector that may contribute to the underrepresentation of ethnically and gender diverse talent and leave participants with practical and implementable solutions.
