Dear global wind energy community,

Are you interested in:

  • Getting access to and/or developing solutions to real wind energy industry challenges?

  • Sharing, comparing and optimising reproducible code and workflows using relevant wind energy data together with top researchers in the field?

  • Testing your skills against top data scientists in the field? Showcasing your work and boosting your visibility?

  • Accelerating innovation through knowledge sharing?

  • Benefiting from being an “early adopter” to the new wedowind.com data sharing and collaboration platform, helping us to shape the platform?

Then don’t miss out on the EDP Wind Turbine Failure Detection Challenge - exclusive on the new wedowind.com platform. The objective is to identify the failures in five of the major wind turbine components and advise an intervention to the wind farm operators in order to reduce corrective maintenance costs. For this, you will be provided with some exclusive operational data from the EDP wind farm fleet. The components to be monitored will be: Gearbox, Generator, Generator Bearing, Transformer, Hydraulic Group. We provide two years of SCADA records from five wind turbines and data from the meteorological mast to create, train, validate, and test your models.
