Apply for the WinJi Gearbox Failure Detection Challenge - and exclusive access to the new WeDoWind platform

Dear global wind energy community,

Are you interested in:

  • Getting access to and/or developing solutions to real wind energy industry challenges?

  • Sharing, comparing and optimising reproducible code and workflows using relevant wind energy data together with top researchers in the field?

  • Testing your skills against top data scientists in the field? Showcasing your work and boosting your visibility?

  • Accelerating innovation through knowledge sharing?

  • Benefiting from being an “early adopter” to the new WeDoWind data sharing and collaboration platform, helping us to shape the platform?

Then don’t miss out on the WinJi Gearbox Failure Detection Challenge - exclusive on the new WeDoWind platform. In this challenge, participants should make use of the provided SCADA data in order to train, test and validate methods that will provide clear indicators of an upcoming gear box related fault, as well as/or a horizon-based probability of the event occurring. The aim is to push the performance of such predictions to at least a monthly horizon.

The number of participants is limited, so apply to take part and we be in touch with access information to the platform if your application is successful. The challenge deadline is 31.12.2021!

To sign up for this challenge, you first have to create an account on the WeDoWind ecosystem platform, and then you will receive instructions on signing up for this challenge.

This challenge is being run via a collaboration between WinJi AG, The Swiss Wind Energy R&D Network, The Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (OST) and Stacker Group.
